Pete Richards, Affiliate Scholar, Department of Geology, Oberlin College will give a talk entitled: When Rocks Burn: Minerals from the Shale Fire Near Milan, Ohio (This will include the story of the new mineral Carlsonite.)
Social Hour with cash bar and good beer on tap begins at 6:00 p.m. Dinner begins at 6:45 p.m., talk at 7:45

Dinner will be served family style, and will include a potato-pancake appetizer, wienerschnitzle, chicken paprikash, potato-and-cheese pierogis (= vegetarian), salad, a vegetable, dumplings, home fries, coffee or tea, and dessert. NOGS picks up the tax and tip for the food. You can also polka before (but not during) the talk as there will be a polka band next door.
